The Town of Bow, NH is seeking qualified candidates for the part-time (28 hrs./week) position of Administrative Assistant in the Department of Public Works. Performs advanced level administrative/clerical tasks to assist the department management in facilitating the administrative procedures relating to the programs and services offered to the community.
Primary responsibilities include providing staff assistance and support; serving as initial contact for the Department and receiving and responding to inquiries, concerns and complaints by disseminating information of both a routine and confidential nature; management and maintenance of the Department page on the Town website; dissemination of Town information and news to residents and the general public; compiling statistics and developing reports; and managing the sale of cemetery plots and processing requests for burials.
Requires graduation from a standard high school or GED, supplemented by specialized training in responsible secretarial skills and four years’ experience in administrative support work. Degree in office management or related field desirable; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The rate of pay is $18.65 to $22.68/hr.
