  1. Friends of the Baker Free Library - Book Donation Day

    March 25, 2017, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Baker Free Library

    Donations will be reviewed at the time of donation and books that are not accepted will be returned with the donor immediately. We are looking for books in gently used condition. We do not accept text books, encyclopedias, magazines, or CD/audiotapes.

  2. Eager Readers @ BES

    March 27, 2017, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Bow Elementary School Library. Event is sponsored and facilitated by the Baker Free Library.

    This afterschool class at BES is for 3rd & 4th graders, offered in the Fall and the Spring. Interested students are placed in a lottery, and those that don't get into the Fall session are guaranteed a spot in the Spring session, if they are still interested. The class includes a snack, mystery books, and literature-based games, trivia, and activities.

    This program is for children up to age 6 with an adult. This 45 minute class is perfect for families with several children of different ages. Activities include stories, songs, fingerplays, flannel boards, creative movement, and simple games.

  4. Annual "Four Way Test" Speech Contest - Bow Rotary Club

    March 28, 2017, 7:00 PM @ Community Room, White Rock Senior Living Community

    A speech contest for high school age students, including home-schoolers from within the towns attending Bow High School. The Club is looking for Contestants. The speech must incorporate all of the questions in the four way test of Rotary International, which says… “Of the things we think, say and do: 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned 3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?”

    This program is for children under age 3 with an adult. It is a 30 minute interactive class for the very young, and includes simple songs, fingerplays, elementary flannel boards, very short books, and easy movement activities. Must be a Bow resident to participate.
