The Rotary Club of Bow will host its annual public-speaking contest for high school students at 7 pm on March 28. To encourage robust competition, the first place winner in Bow will earn $500, second place will earn $300, and third place will earn $200.
Contestants speak for five to seven minutes on topics of their choosing and use Rotary’s “Four-Way Test” to analyze a personal decision or course of action.
The Rotary Four-Way Test of the things we think, do or say: 1) Is it the truth?
2) Is it fair to all concerned? 3) Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4) Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Bow Rotary’s contest is open to students attending Bow High School and to residents of Bow and Dunbarton who are home schooled.
Bow’s winner will have an opportunity to compete at the District competition in Danvers, MA, on May 4. An application form and additional details are posted at BowRotary.org.
The public is encouraged to attend.

In this two-day a week FUN co-ed group exercise class we will combine strength training and cardio work in a variety of ways including drills, circuits, games, and interval training. Participants leave having completed a full-body workout each class.

Come S-T-R-E-T-C-H with us! Our yoga practice meets you where you are, and we’ll explore beginning to more experienced modifications from Kripalu Hatha Yoga, including Yin and Restorative Asanas, as well as Qi Gong healing for boosting immunity. We will stretch, strengthen & balance with a focus on mindful breathing and pranayama practice for stress reduction, relaxation, and equanimity.
